Green Hosting on Google Cloud

Our site runs on Firebase App Hosting, powered by Google Cloud infrastructure. Google Cloud has been carbon neutral since 2007 and matches 100% of its energy consumption with renewable energy purchases. The Website Carbon Calculator recognises this as verified green hosting.

75% Smaller Server Footprint

Our production server runs in a 512 MB container — compared to the 2 GB typically required by heavier frameworks. That's a 75% reduction in compute resources per server instance, which directly translates to less energy consumed per request served. Less compute, less cooling, less carbon.

Built with SvelteKit

We chose SvelteKit specifically because it compiles away at build time. Unlike heavier frameworks that ship large runtime bundles to the browser, SvelteKit produces only the minimal JavaScript needed for each page. Our JavaScript footprint averages just 23 KB per page — a fraction of what most modern websites require.

Server-Side Rendering

Every page is rendered on the server, meaning the HTML arrives complete and ready to display. There's no waiting for JavaScript to download and render content in the browser. This means faster load times for you and less energy consumed by your device.

Optimised Images

All images are served in modern WebP format with responsive sizing, and images below the fold are lazy-loaded — meaning they only download when you scroll to them. This prevents unnecessary data transfer on every page visit.

No Tracking Bloat

We don't load heavy third-party analytics scripts, social media widgets, or advertising trackers. On many websites, these tracking scripts account for 30–50% of total page weight. We chose to respect both your privacy and the planet.
